Professional Lawn & Garden Clean-up

Invite Old South's certified Horticulturist and her professional crew to your property for a thorough cleaning and detailed analysis. A written analysis with recommendations to improve/maintain the health of the garden is provided for the client. Through leaf/debris clean-up, edging, lawn de-thatching, trimming and professional pruning, your property will be brought to life and made ready for the warm weather. Rate is $60/hour with a 4 hour minimum (including both cleaning and analysis).

Top Dress – $195 (First Yard)

Includes installation, soil and grass seed. Additional yards – $120/yd.

Mulch – $65 Delivery + $95/Yard

Mulch retains moisture in the soil, promotes the healthy growth of plants, and helps keeps weeds down significantly. There are many options to choose from when selecting mulch. Please feel free to ask us for advice.

Aeration – $85

Aerating is one of the most important services to consider for your lawn. It increases nutrient movement to the roots, stimulates new growth, and incorporates organic matter into your soil culture. We aerate during one designated week in spring, and one designated week in fall. Please inquire for specific dates. Funny enough, our price is actually less expensive than renting a machine and aerating your own lawn.

Rolling – $50

Rolling compresses the soil to reduce bumps in your lawn. As it is important your lawn has adequate oxygen, we do not roll a lawn unless we plan on aerating it afterwards. Rolling is not a quick fix. To achieve a fairway-like look, several years of rolling are often required. Rolling is available during one designated week in spring, and one designated week in fall. Please inquire for specific dates.

Sod

Nothing beats a new, lush, green lawn! The time and effort involved in installing new sod can vary from property to property, so our pricing for sod is available by appointment only. Please be in touch with Bren if you would like to set up a meeting.

Organic Vegetable Garden Consultation

If you would like to 'grow your own groceries' but are unsure how to get started, our Horticulturist, Kate, would be happy to help. The cost of one of these consultations varies according to size/scope of project, so please feel free to contact Bren for more information.

All services include disposal of organic matter. While there is no additional disposal fee, travel time will be considered as part of the hourly rate. Prices subject to change.
